Basketball Recap: Bishop Ward Comes Up Short

Bishop Ward was the 56-50 winner over Kansas City Christian School when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bishop Ward Cyclones received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 59-44 to the Kansas City Christian School Panthers. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Cyclones came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 90th, while the Panthers are ranked 400th).

Bishop Ward's loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1. As for Kansas City Christian School, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season.

Bishop Ward will face off against Maur Hill Prep-Mount Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kansas City Christian School, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Kansas City Christian School Panthers challenge the Lyndon Tigers on Friday.
