Baseball Recap: Wayne Comes Up Short

Wayne and Mason squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Wayne had to settle for second. They lost 19-4 to the Comets.

Wayne has also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Mason, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-6.

Wayne does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mason, they will square off against Oak Hills at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Highlanders' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Comets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
