Tyler has gone a perfect 3-0 against Calhoun recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Tyler's offense. They fell just short of Braxton County by a score of 1-0 on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 22 runs in the game before, the Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Calhoun and Roane County, and Roane County kept the tradition alive. The Red Devils fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 4-3 on Tuesday. The Red Devils have struggled against the Raiders recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Calhoun saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Carpenter, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Tyler now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Calhoun, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13.

Everything went Tyler's way against Calhoun in their previous meeting back in April of 2019, as Tyler made off with a 17-7 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
