Baseball Recap: Paramus Takes a Loss

Paramus extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to seven on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-6. They fell 5-2 to the Hackensack Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-4 on Monday.

As for Hackensack, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games.

For Hackensack's part, Holden Cohen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Matt Feehan, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Coming up, Paramus will square off against Tenafly at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Hackensack, they will venture away from home to challenge Pascack Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Friday.
