Volleyball Recap: Sheffield Comes Up Short

Sheffield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cherokee Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

Sheffield's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Cherokee, their win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8.

Sheffield has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Phil Campbell on the 9th. As for Cherokee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Collierville on the 6th.
