The DeMotte Christian Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Heritage Christian Defenders at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. DeMotte Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.2 runs per game this season.

DeMotte Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Frontier 14-4. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Knights considering their two-run performance the match before.

DeMotte Christian let Lili Peterson and Eva Orsburn run wild. Peterson got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while Orsburn scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Allie Myers was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

DeMotte Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .658. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Heritage Christian lost 13-6 to Victory Christian Academy on Monday.

The win got DeMotte Christian back to even at 2-2. As for Heritage Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

DeMotte Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Heritage Christian in their previous meeting back in May of 2023, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
