Soccer Recap: Chaminade Triumphs

Chaminade kept a clean sheet against Sierra Canyon on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 victory over the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers. The Eagles wouldn't have won without Luke Stice, who scored the game-winner.

Chaminade's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4-1 and their overall record up to 3-9-2. As for Sierra Canyon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7-2.

Chaminade and Sierra Canyon could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. Chaminade will face off against Crespi at 5:00 p.m. on Friday down 546 places (895 vs. 349). Similarly, Sierra Canyon (ranked 494th) will meet Harvard-Westlake (ranked 54th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
