Soccer Recap: Chaparral Comes Up Short

Chaparral was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Belton Tigers, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Tigers are ranked 105th).

Chaparral's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Belton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chaparral will square off against Lake Belton at 7:15 p.m. on February 21st. As for Belton, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Belton duke it out with the Waco at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
