Softball Recap: Mississinewa Indians vs. Alexandria-Monroe Tigers
Mississinewa proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by seven) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Alexandria-Monroe Tigers 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Indians have posted against the Tigers since April 21, 2016.
Brooklynn Nash was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up five earned runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Amiyaa Parr-Inman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Another player making a difference was Jaeli Miller, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.
