Softball Recap: Milford Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Odessa

Milford faced Odessa in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Buccaneers came out on top against the Ducks by a score of 9-4. The Buccaneers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Ducks, too.

The team relied heavily on Adri Fountain, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Another player making a difference was Maddie Webb, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Milford now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Odessa, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 5-6 record.

Coming up, Milford is taking a road trip to take on Sussex Tech at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Odessa, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against William Penn at 3:45 p.m.
