Softball Recap: Saucon Valley Comes Up Short at Home Against Pleasant Valley

Saucon Valley unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against the Pleasant Valley Bears on Tuesday, falling 12-1.

Saucon Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bianca Jauregui, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases. The dominant performance gave Jauregui a new career-high in stolen bases.

The win got Pleasant Valley back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saucon Valley will welcome Bangor at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Pleasant Valley, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against East Stroudsburg North at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This will be East Stroudsburg North's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
