Softball Recap: East Canton Hornets vs. Buckeye Trail Warriors

East Canton came out on top against Buckeye Trail on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run third inning. The Hornets took their contest against the Warriors 8-4. The Hornets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

Caidynce Murphy made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
