Baseball Recap: Gatlinburg-Pittman Victorious

Gatlinburg-Pittman was handed a ten-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They skirted past the Oneida Indians 3-2. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 5-4 win on Thursday.

Nathan Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits. He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Gatlinburg-Pittman is 4-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 13-14 otherwise.

Gatlinburg-Pittman now has a winning record of 17-16. As for Oneida, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-19.

Gatlinburg-Pittman wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 10-0 defeat against Alcoa on the 5th. Oneida does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
