Baseball Game Preview: Wakeland Wolverines vs. Reedy Lions

For the second straight game, Wakeland will face off against Reedy. The Wolverines will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Wakeland 2.5, Reedy 3.1) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Wakeland is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Reedy just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions.

Reedy is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Wakeland, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.
