Volleyball Recap: Ash Grove Pirates vs. Miller Cardinals
Ash Grove lost against Miller last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Ash Grove Pirates fell 2-0 to the Miller Cardinals. The Pirates haven't had much luck with the Cardinals recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-8, 25-13.
Rylee Allred paced Ash Grove's offense, picking up five kills. Allred got some help from
Chloe King and her six assists.
Samantha Schindler controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Camden Stockton was a one-man wrecking crew for Miller as she had seven digs and five aces. Stockton has been hot for a while, having also posted 13 or more assists the last 13 times she's played.
Ash Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14-4. As for Miller, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 26-6-2 record this season.
Ash Grove wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Greenwood on the 21st. Miller has also already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Marionville on the 26th.
