Shorewood had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the St. Francis Mariners by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. The Greyhounds were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Mariners, so the Greyhounds were just returning the favor.

Shorewood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 victory against Cudahy on the 27th. As for St. Francis, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on St. Catherine's at 6:30 p.m. on September 9.
