On Friday, Lexington faced Clover in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Lexington Wildcats narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Clover Blue Eagles 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Sidney Kitts and Adriana Dunat scored all three of Lexington's goals, bringing their combined season tally to six goals.

The win got Lexington back to even at 2-2-1. As for Clover, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
