It was a good run, but Helena unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Cherokee County Warriors by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in September.
Ella Willmon paced Helena's offense, picking up seven kills. Willmon got some help from Avery Cantley and her 15 assists. Willmon was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
Helena's loss dropped their record down to 23-17. As for Cherokee County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 41-7-1 record this season.
