Softball Recap: Watervliet Comes Up Short

Watervliet was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 17-14 to the Brandywine Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 on Thursday.

Leila Liberto-Taylor was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Dezi Warren, who went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Watervliet's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Brandywine, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Watervliet will challenge South Haven at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brandywine, they will be playing at home against Buchanan at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
