After a string of four wins, Somonauk's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Newark Norsemen. If the Bobcats were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Norsemen when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Somonauk may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 20 points in every single set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-20.

Somonauk's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-3. As for Newark, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3.
