Baseball Game Preview: Springs Valley Blackhawks vs. Orleans Bulldogs

The Springs Valley Blackhawks will head out on the road to challenge the Orleans Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Springs Valley's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Springs Valley made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Perry Central, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Blackhawks fell just short of the Commodores by a score of 4-2 on Thursday.

Noah Allstott was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Orleans suffered their biggest defeat since April 21st on Thursday. They came up short against Paoli, falling 7-1. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Orleans saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Berning, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Springs Valley's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Orleans, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-17.

Springs Valley skirted past Orleans 3-2 when the teams last played back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blackhawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
