Basketball Recap: North Shore's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

North Shore waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 65-50 victory over the Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 74-34 win the Hurricanes walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

North Shore got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Sean Mayberry out in front who went 7-for-11 en route to 15 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Da'Marcus Sloan, who posted 16 points and eight rebounds.

North Shore smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

North Shore's record is now 10-4. As for Fort Bend Hightower, they moved to 12-2 with that loss, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Coming up, North Shore will head out to challenge George Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Longhorns have now posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups. As for Fort Bend Hightower, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Goose Creek Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
