Soccer Game Preview: Mona Shores vs. Grand Haven

The Mona Shores Sailors will venture away from home to take on the Grand Haven Buccaneers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Mona Shores is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They never let Muskegon get on the board and left with a 9-0 win on Thursday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Grand Haven sidestepped West Ottawa for a 1-0 win.

Mona Shores' victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Grand Haven, their win bumped their record up to 6-1.

Mona Shores skirted past Grand Haven 1-0 in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sailors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
