Softball Recap: Lamar Takes a Loss

Lamar lost against Heights back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lamar Texans lost 16-4 to the Heights Bulldogs. The Texans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Saige Marshall was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Heights, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lamar and Heights will both be playing Bellaire the next time they take the field. Heights will head out to face Bellaire at 5:30 p.m. on March 18th, while Lamar will host them at 12:00 p.m. on March 22nd.
