Soccer Game Preview: Dodge County vs. Metter

The Dodge County Indians will head out to challenge the Metter Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Dodge County barely beat Worth County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Dodge County was the clear victors by a 6-1 margin over Worth County on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Metter put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Claxton. Metter's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last five games.

Alex Balladares and Jonatan Elizalde scored both of Metter's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Metter's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four matches. As for Dodge County, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-4.
