Basketball Game Preview: Landmark Christian War Eagles vs. Walker Wolverines

Having just played yesterday, the Landmark Christian War Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Walker Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Landmark Christian sitting on three straight wins and Walker on 11.

Landmark Christian will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Whitefield Academy, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. Landmark Christian escaped with a win on Monday against Whitefield Academy by the margin of a single free throw, 56-55.

Meanwhile, Walker hadn't done well against St. Francis recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Walker enjoyed a cozy 71-57 victory over St. Francis.

Walker's win came from a few key players Landmark Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Lorenzo McCorvey, who dropped a triple-double on 17 points, ten boards, and ten assists. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was King Daniel Hernandez, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Walker pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Landmark Christian, their record now sits at 12-6.
