Softball Game Recap: Canyon Lake vs. Lago Vista Vikings

Canyon Lake and Lago Vista squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Canyon Lake had to settle for second. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 8-2 to the Vikings, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Lago Vista this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 on Friday.

Canyon Lake has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. As for Lago Vista, the win was the 17th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-9.

Canyon Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lago Vista, they will venture away from home to square off against Devine at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Vikings 4.1, the Warhorses 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
