Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask LaVergne). They came out on top against the Hillsboro Burros by a score of 14-11 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Dominic Townsend made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and only one walk). That one earned run gave him a new career-low. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with five runs, three doubles, and two RBI. Those five runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Caleb Lund was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Jay Jerome also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
