Basketball Game Preview: Mesquite Wildcats vs. Arcadia Titans

The Mesquite Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Arcadia Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Mesquite took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 63-55 victory over Marcos de Niza. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wildcats as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Arcadia posted their closest victory since January 10th on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Cactus Shadows 70-68. The victory was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Mesquite's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Arcadia, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-12.

Mesquite strolled past Arcadia when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 66-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mesquite since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
