Basketball Game Preview: Spotswood Chargers vs. South Plainfield Tigers

The Spotswood Chargers are taking a road trip to face off against the South Plainfield Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Spotswood will be strutting in after a victory while South Plainfield will be coming in after a defeat.

Spotswood is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 49-40 win over Piscataway on Monday. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but the Chargers were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, South Plainfield came up short against Monroe Township on Friday and fell 49-39. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Falcons recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Spotswood's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for South Plainfield, they now have a losing record at 1-2.

Spotswood was dealt a bruising 57-28 loss at the hands of South Plainfield when the teams last played back in February of 2016. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Spotswood was down 35-7.
