Basketball Game Preview: Lighthouse Christian Chargers vs. Dallas HSAA Angels

Having just played yesterday, the Lighthouse Christian Chargers will jump right back in to play the Dallas HSAA Angels at 6:20 p.m. on Friday. Lighthouse Christian has given up an average of 55.1 points per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week.

Lighthouse Christian is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Manhattan HomeSchool CHIEF by a score of 79-68.

Lighthouse Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Judah Louderback out in front who went 7-for-15 to rack up 22 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Rahn, who almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine boards.

Lighthouse Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They are 22-4 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, the third road match was the charm for Dallas HSAA, as they earned their first road win of the season. They secured a 45-41 W over Muddy River HomeSchool on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Angels' disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 651st in Texas, while the Counselors are ranked 73rd in Mississippi).

Lighthouse Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-11 record this season. Dallas HSAA's victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Lighthouse Christian suffered a grim 72-52 defeat to Dallas HSAA in their previous matchup back in December of 2017. Can Lighthouse Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
