Football Game Preview: Connetquot T-Birds vs. Centereach Cougars

The Connetquot T-Birds will face off against the Centereach Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Connetquot is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

On Friday, Connetquot came up short against Huntington and fell 21-14. While the T-Birds had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Blue Devils 7-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Centereach, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They never let West Babylon get on the board and left with a 20-0 win on Saturday. The Cougars' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Centereach's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Connetquot, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-4.

Everything went Connetquot's way against Centereach in their previous matchup back in September of 2022, as Connetquot made off with a 28-7 win. Do the T-Birds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cougars turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
