Baseball Recap: North East Carolina Prep Takes a Loss

North East Carolina Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Tarboro Vikings, falling 13-2. The Husky were not able to make up for their loss to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

North East Carolina Prep saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landon Melton, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. That hit was Melton's first of the season.

North East Carolina Prep's record now sits at 1-12. As for Tarboro, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Vikings beat North East Carolina Prep by a score of 7-0 later that day.
