Baseball Recap: Fredericksburg Christian Eagles vs. Trinity Christian Gryphons

Fredericksburg Christian had lost six straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 4-8-1 to make it seven. They lost 11-1 to the Trinity Christian Gryphons. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gryphons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Trinity Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. Considering they have won four matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Trinity Christian's part, they got a great performance from Lucas Fisher as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Brody Frank was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Tiede, who went 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Fredericksburg Christian wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 7-3 loss against Saint John Paul the Great Catholic on the 9th. As for Trinity Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 defeat against Flint Hill on the 15th.
