Volleyball Recap: Rochelle Takes a Loss

Rochelle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Dixon Dukes & Duchesses. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dukes & Duchesses this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Rochelle's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Dixon, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Rochelle will look to defend their home court on Monday against Indian Creek at 5:30 p.m. As for Dixon, they will head out on the road to take on Rockford Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last three games the Royal Lions have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
