Pike County Central extended their winning streak to six on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 25-10 in the process. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Belfry Pirates. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 15 contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

As for Belfry, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 19-9. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Belfry's part, they saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dante Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Pike County Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Belfry, they will challenge Pikeville at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. The Pirates are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
