Recap: Idalia Wolves vs. Eads Eagles

It was a good run, but the Idalia Wolves unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They were the victim of a tough 47-24 loss at the hands of Eads. Having soared to a lofty 64 points in the game before, Idalia couldn't push the score so high this time.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Addison Richards, who scored six points. Kiersten Wingfield was another key contributor, scoring six points.

Eads' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anna Wollert, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 17 rebounds. Wollert continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tailee Weeks-Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Idalia's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Eads, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Idalia will take on Flagler at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Flagler is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Eads, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Cheraw at 4:00 p.m.
