Softball Game Preview: Clarkston Bantams vs. East Valley Knights

The Clarkston Bantams will venture away from home to take on the East Valley Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clarkston will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Clarkston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over Rogers. The Bantams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by ten runs or more this season.

East Valley came out on top against Pullman on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Knights won by a run and slipped past the Greyhounds 9-8.

Clarkston pushed their record up to 14-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for East Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Clarkston was able to grind out a solid victory over East Valley in their previous matchup back in April, winning 12-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bantams since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
