Rampart had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the seven-goal drubbing they dealt Douglas County on Thursday. The Rams put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 8-1 win. Even though Rampart got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Aiden Casperson was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Rampart's offense was hitting Douglas County from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Nico Torres led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.

Rampart now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Douglas County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rampart will welcome Cheyenne Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Douglas County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Vanguard Classical East at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
