Baseball Recap: Hilldale Takes a Loss

Hilldale and North Rock Creek squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Hilldale had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 on Friday.

This is the second loss in a row for Hilldale and nudges their season record down to 27-5. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for North Rock Creek, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-5.

As of now, neither Hilldale nor the Cougars have any future games scheduled.
