Football Recap: Brookfield's Undefeated Season over After Five Games

After flying high against Polo last Friday, Brookfield came back down to earth. The Bulldogs took a 29-16 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Putnam County Midgets on Friday. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Corbin Campbell-Johnson produced another solid effort rushing for 128 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry for Putnam County. That's the most rushing yards Campbell-Johnson has posted since back in October of 2024.

Having lost for the first time this season, Brookfield fell to 4-1. As for Putnam County, they pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Brookfield will face off against Gallatin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Putnam County, they will square off against Polo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
