Thompson Valley and Northridge are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2016, but not for long. The Eagles will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. Thompson Valley's defense has only allowed ten points per game this season, so Northridge's offense will have their work cut out for them.
While Thompson Valley's victory against Loveland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Red Wolves 10-9. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since September 13, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Tristin Hill had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 160 yards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 101.8 rushing yards per game.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Thompson Valley was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 233 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Loveland only rushed for 118.
Meanwhile, Northridge scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Green Mountain, falling 45-19. The Grizzlies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.
Although Northridge took the loss, they still got scores from Jesus De La Cruz, Jaxon Sanchez, and Jayden Hernandez. Sanchez also deserves some recognition as he punched in his first rushing touchdown of the season.
Thompson Valley's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Northridge, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. Thompson Valley has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 150.2 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Northridge, though, as they've been averaging only 51.5 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
Everything went Thompson Valley's way against Northridge in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as Thompson Valley made off with a 21-0 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
