Mount Academy came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Niskayuna Silver Warriors. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Silver Warriors, too.

Gina O'Connell paced Mount Academy's offense, picking up six kills. O'Connell got some help from Marion Winter and her 16 assists. Kayla Paul controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Mount Academy's victory bumped their record up to 22-3-1. As for Niskayuna, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9-1.

Mount Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 1-1 tie against St. Mary's on the 11th. As for Niskayuna, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Shaker at 4:15 p.m. on the 21st.
