Soccer Game Preview: Cabrillo vs. Nipomo

The Cabrillo Conquistadores will venture away from home to face off against the Nipomo Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cabrillo's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Cabrillo's tournament run continued when they took on Firebaugh on Saturday. The Conquistadores fell 3-1 to the Eagles. That's two games in a row now that Cabrillo have lost by exactly two goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Nipomo was forced to settle for a draw. They and San Luis Obispo finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Monday.

Nipomo's draw makes their record 5-1-1 this season. As for Cabrillo, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1.

Cabrillo might still be hurting after the 4-0 defeat they got from Nipomo when the teams last played back in January. Can the Conquistadores avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
