Softball Recap: County Line Indians vs. Scranton Rockets
County Line lost against Scranton back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The County Line Indians fell victim to a rough 13-4 defeat at the hands of the Scranton Rockets.
For Scranton's part, Katie Vonderheide was a standout: she scored a run while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. Matalyn Johnson was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
County Line has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Scranton, their win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-10.
County Line will take on Mountainburg at 4:00 p.m. on April 9th. As for Scranton, they will head out on the road to square off against Mulberry at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Scranton is facing Mulberry at the right time seeing as Mulberry is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
