Basketball Game Preview: Pittsford Panthers vs. Batavia Blue Devils

The Pittsford Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Batavia Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Friday, Pittsford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 68-62 to Eastridge.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Batavia, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 75-57 win over Greece Arcadia on Friday. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Titans are ranked 650th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Batavia's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.2 points over those games. As for Pittsford, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
