Baseball Recap: West Fork Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

West Fork won against Nashua-Plainfield on Thursday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Everything went the Warhawks' way against the Northwood-Kensett Vikings as they made off with an 11-4 win. Considering the Warhawks have won six games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was West Fork's fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Northwood-Kensett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Fork will face off against Newman Catholic on Monday. The Knights will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Warhawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Northwood-Kensett, they will square off against Belmond-Klemme at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
