Soccer Game Preview: Palmer vs. Mesa Ridge

The Palmer Terrors will face off against the Mesa Ridge Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Palmer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.7 goals per game this season.

Palmer had to skate by with only a one-goal margin when they last took the pitch, which might have inspired the four-goal drubbing they dealt Widefield on Thursday. The Terrors put the hurt on the Gladiators with a sharp 5-1 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Palmer considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

They hit Widefield with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Raegan Kouri (2), Skylar Angelidis (2), and Christina Ung.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Mesa Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Harrison a 2-0 shutout on Thursday.

Mesa Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 31 goals over those eight games. As for Palmer, their win bumped their record up to 7-1-2.
