Football Game Preview: Jackson County Blue Devils vs. Marion County Warriors + How To Watch

On Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Jackson County beat Grundy County 17-12. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Blue Devils.

Jackson County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Thomas, Aden Netherton, and Letterman picked up one apiece. Letterman also made six total tackles, which is notable because Jackson County is 5-1 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-3 otherwise. Letterman got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Marion County beat York Institute 21-14 on Thursday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Warriors' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee football rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Dragons are ranked 243rd).

Jackson County's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Marion County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1.
