Soccer Game Preview: Pace vs. San Benito

The Pace Vikings will take on the San Benito Greyhounds in a tournament on Friday.

Pace is likely headed into the match with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Weslaco two weeks ago. The Vikings fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 1-0.

Meanwhile, San Benito took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They put the hurt on IDEA Robindale with a sharp 9-1 victory. With San Benito ahead 6-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Their offense was hitting IDEA Robindale from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Jiovanni Najera led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by himself.
